Of all the great parts of .NET Core, I am most interested in the new cross-platform outlook that Microsoft has taken. And they have been very serious about it. To prove this, I’m recording some screencasts that show various development scenarios using .NET Core across different tools and platforms. This first one is about testing ASP.NET Core applications using a platform agnostic toolset of the .NET Core SDK CLI tool (dotnet), Visual Studio Code, and the C# extension. I will soon record the same process using other members of the Visual Studio family, Visual Studio for Windows and Visual Studio for Mac.
These videos are basically live coding sessions. They are raw, with very little editing and no script. I’m using them for reinforcing what I am trying to prove to myself and thought they might be of use to others too.
